the Journal of Microscopy and Ultrastructure has decided to publish a special issue titled “COVID-19 Under the Lens

Dear Authors

Greetings

In response to the current pandemic crisis, the Journal of Microscopy and
Ultrastructure has decided to publish a special issue titled “COVID-19 Under
the Lens”.

Our primary scope in this special issue will be microscopic and ultrastructural
studies of the novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19), where we invite
mini-reviews, commentaries, and letters to the editor focusing on any
published particulars of this specific type of lung affection.

In parallel, we also call for reviews on the complications such as coagulopathy or cardiac affection. Comparisons with the effects of other coronaviruses such as SARS1 and MERS, and any reported differences of affection among various ethnic groups are welcome.

Also, articles/reviews that address broader interdisciplinary issues that relate basic sciences with epidemiological studies and propose novel and evidence-based prophylactic or therapeutic measures are highly encouraged.

In addition, in response to COVID-19 we also would like to exchange
experience among academics regarding changing practices in medical
education, so we devoted a section for this in this special issue.
